The Municipality of Pavarolo has repurposed a confiscated building to create a multifunctional center for family services.
Today, the ground floor hosts Araba Fenice, an open, welcoming, and dynamic space where people can meet, share experiences, and receive professional support.
On the upper floors, the town’s first public nursery is taking shape,providing an essential service for new generations and local parents.
The Araba Fenice project is more than just a construction initiative, it is an act of civic regeneration.
Every space tells a story of redemption: from a place of illegality to a hub for gathering, growth, and solidarity.
It is a center where families, associations, and institutions work together to build a stronger, more aware, and supportive community.
A listening centre for parents, women, families, and young people, staffed by experienced professionals and offering psychological, social, and legal support.

The property at Via San Sebastiano 21/B, a villa of illicit origin, was permanently confiscated from organised crime and entrusted to the Municipality of Pavarolo for social purposes.
The Municipality, together with the Piedmont Region, the Chierese Social Services Consortium, and various local associations, presents the regeneration project: this is how the idea of the “Araba Fenice” Multifunctional Center was born.
Thanks to the PNRR – Mission 4.9 funds and regional contributions, the conversion works have begun, including seismic upgrades and structural reinforcement, the construction of the new municipal micro-nursery, and the design of the social spaces on the ground floor.
On May 30, 2025, Araba Fenice reopens to be returned to the community – a place where the community is reborn, and bonds, values, and the future can grow.
